Don’t miss out on class!

Why being on time for your Barre or Pilates class matters.

We get it – life happens! Between kids, work, school, and traffic, the best-laid plans can go to waste in no time, and that class you were looking forward to feels like it’s slipping out of reach.

While we understand that life happens, there are some very real reasons why being on time for your Barre or Pilates class matters. Stick around, read our thoughts, and let us know if you have any comments or questions!

Being on time matters for your safety

Our classes are scientifically designed to give you the best and safest workout possible. Part of that design includes a warm-up that wakes up your muscles and prepares you for work. When you miss the warm-up, you may miss important instructions regarding the class and set yourself up for injury. Cold muscles don’t love being thrown into hard work without a chance to prepare. Respect and protect your body, and ensure you’re making time for your warm-up in every class you take!

Minimize disruption for your teacher and peers.

Class is our “me time,” and we all want it to feel as relaxing and stress-free as possible. We all know how quickly that stress-free feeling can disappear when a latecomer flies into class, bringing all of their tension with them! This can disrupt the flow of the session, and it can even alter how the instructor plans to teach their class (imagine – missing out on feet in straps because the whole class stayed in footwork for an extra five minutes!). If you wouldn’t appreciate someone walking late into your class, please be respectful of your peers, be in your space, and be ready to move on time.

Waitlist participants deserve space in class, too.

As our waitlists fill up, we are doing our best to make space for every individual in class. In light of this, open reformers or space in class will be given to waitlisted clients after the class has started. If you’re not in the studio at the start of class, your space may be given to a waitlisted client who was on time.

Prioritize yourself and your movement.

Class is YOUR time, and you’ve invested in your studio membership! Treat your investment (and yourself!) with respect and plan your workouts as appointments you intend to keep. You will never regret showing up for yourself. Reframing these classes as valuable and essential appointments may be the trick to keeping your schedule in check, minimizing your stress levels, and seeing undeniable results in your practice.

Finally

Run into a serious emergency and know you’re going to be late? We get it!

If you are running late but plan to attend, please give us a call or text ASAP at 909-402-0789 and let us know! While we can’t guarantee holding your space in class, it helps the instructor prepare and keeps us all in the loop. We’ll let you know if we can accommodate you.

If you are arriving late, please be respectful of other class participants, enter quickly and quietly, and minimize disruptions. Please note that if you are running late, our staff reserves the right to pass your space to the next person on the waitlist.

Thank you for helping us create a safe and relaxing environment for all – send us a message if you have any questions or comments about late arrivals in class!
